Here at Briton EMS we are always striving for continuous improvement. As part of our plan to enhance our extensive electronic manufacturing facility we are now proud to announce the launch of our new Rapid Prototype Service (RPS). We have always had a strong prototype production capability but we have now created a package that our new and existing customers will identify with more readily. Aimed particularly at design engineers and project managers, we are confident that RPS will benefit your company from day 1. Here are some of the benefits, key elements and assumptions associated with our 10 day Rapid Prototype Service.
Benefits Engineers remain free to focus on other aspects of the project e.g. software or interface hardware. No need to waste time communicating with PCB manufacturers and component suppliers to secure materials in time. Engineers can feel secure in the knowledge that prototypes will be produced in a production environment to IPC 610 standards. Engineers can gain advance knowledge of DFM issues ready for production Improved product realisation timescales
Assumptions To make our service more effective and efficient for you, we need your help; PCB layout must fall within standard PCB manufacturing design guidelines. PCB placement data must be compatible with most SMT placement machines. Any special requirements may fall outside the RPS time window. Components must be available ex-stock – to - 3 days. Catalogue companies will be used for components e.g. FEC, RS and Digikey MOQ excesses will be covered by separate order and agreed costs will be met by the customer. Component information must be accurate and refer to correct suffixes. Where alternative components must not be used these must be clearly specified.
