As part of our Environmental Management System we intend to:


Minimize the impact of new developments through the use of integrated management procedures and planning
Embody life cycle thinking
Where possible, influence customers in the design of products so as to minimize their environmental impacts in production, use and disposal
Prevent pollution, reduce waste and the consumption of resources, and commit to recovery and recycling, as opposed to disposal where feasible
Provide all staff with appropriate education and training
Share environmental experience with interested parties
Work towards sustainable development
Encourage the use of EMS by suppliers and contractors
Assist, wherever possible, governmental agencies and other official organizations engaged in environmental activities

In working towards the achievement of its environmental objectives, Briton EMS Ltd will:


Develop internal awareness of its environmental policies, targets and programmes in order to build environmental responsibility into all aspects of its operations
Encourage and support employee initiatives that contribute to an improved environment – at work, at home and in the local community
Develop links with relevant governmental, industrial, professional, community and education groups, keeping them informed of Briton EMS environmental interests and activities
Work with suppliers and contractors to ensure that they provide products and services that do not transmit environmental problems to Briton EMS and its customers
Develop management systems to enable environmental impacts to be identified and controlled
Compile reports of environmental performance and make them available to all interested parties

Briton EMS requires the establishment and implementation of an improvement plan that will result in both improved environmental performance and increased customer satisfaction. The plan will state objectives in measurable terms, with particular regard to local relevance, legislative compliance and social responsibility.

Briton EMS offers a broad manufacturing service from printed circuit board assembly right through to complete product build with ’turnkey’ capability. Currently, the company takes responsibility for the entire manufacturing process of a wide range of electronic and electromechanical products. This includes full component procurement, through-hole and surface mount printed circuit board assembly, final product assembly, test, packing and despatch.

The in-house design and engineering facilities enable a complete product design service to be offered in both hardware and software. Existing designs can be re-engineered or modified to satisfy customer upgrade programmes.
