23/10/2003 Briton wins Environmental Good Practice award

The Bedfordshire and Luton Business Excellence Awards is a prestigious competition organised yearly by Bedfordshire Newspapers, The Learning + Skills Council and in association with Chamber Business.

Ten award categories exist including Company of the Year, Employee of the Year, Small/Medium sized Business of the Year and the Environmental Good Practice Award.

As a result of the great efforts put in by the Quality and Environmental management team, Briton's entry into the Environmental Good Practice Award was short listed by the awards judges.

At the Gala Awards Dinner held on Thursday 23 rd October 2003, Briton rolled out as winners in that category.

TV presenter Ray Stubbs and Quentin Willson of Top Gear fame, were guests at the event which was well attended by companies and celebrities from all over the County.

Quality Manager, Joe Taylor, is justifiably proud of the result. We have worked hard over the past year to establish a sustainable environmental policy and our recent ISO14001 accreditation is proof of our environmental credentials. We are honoured to receive this award
