26/02/10 Briton EMS Launches Rapid Prototype Service
Bedford based electronics manufacturer Briton EMS have developed a 10 day fast track service, new for 2010.
Rapid Prototype Service (RPS) is a new development introduced by Briton EMS to enhance the extensive electronic manufacturing facility already on offer. The launch is the first of many new objectives set out by the company, to increase the services provided for all customers.
Commercial Director Tony Abri is proud to explain how RPS works, "Here at Briton EMS we are always striving for continuous improvement. We have always had a strong prototype production capability but now we have created a package that our new and existing customers will identify with more readily. Aimed particularly at design engineers and project managers, we are confident that RPS will benefit your company from day 1."
RPS aims to complete and despatch your product within 10 working days from receipt of data. The process starts on Day 1 when the Briton team determine the order requirements and identify critical components and procure. Production is set up by Day 6 and the order should be completed by Day 10, which includes full inspection and approval. This package will include an internal debrief and full feedback to the customer.
The benefits of RPS are primarily a faster prototype production service for the customer and as a result an improvement in product realisation timescales. The service also benefits the engineers by reducing the amount of time spent communicating with multiple suppliers. The amount of time saved means that the engineers are able to concentrate on other vital areas of the project at hand, ensuring the customer receives a quality product in rapid time.
