24/07/07 Briton Moves In Next Door

Established in 1979, Bedford based Contract Electronics Manufacturer, Briton EMS Ltd has recently signed a new lease on another building adjacent to its second site in Bedford. The site is due to be in use from the middle of August.

 

The new site will help accommodate the greater quantity of orders and the larger customer base gained over the past few years and represents a 50% increase in capacity. Briton’s Chairman, Tony Abri is thrilled with the progress the company has made over the past few years “With this extra space we can increase our efficiency on existing work and attract up to £3m of new business which will grow the company to over £9m turnover. In view of this expansion Briton has also recently been recruiting new staff.

 

The main use of the building will be to expand the surface mount capabilities of the company and as such the company will be investing in new equipment in the near future.
